Qalam Nabi, one of the last Akasse fawri-zarouri Afghanistan

The Akasse fawri-zarouri or street photographers were an institution for years in Afghanistan. The office passed from parent to child as family heirlooms, but unfortunately today are disappearing . One cause of this extinction were strong restrictive policies imposed by the Taliban to photographers, forcing many of them to destroy their work. In the video that opens the post can see Qalam Nabi , one of the last street photographers that still exist in Afghanistan, working on the streets of Kabul. Nabi started in this business for 11 years as an assistant to his father, and little by little was devoted to it entirely. And now, 33 years after the start in this world, representing almost half of the Akasse fawri-zarouri of Kabul city.
